Marilyn Monroe




Marilyn Monroe is the most famous actress of the cinema history, her real name was Norma Jeanne Baker, she was born on June 1, 1926, in Los Angeles. Her mother went to a mental hospital; her father was a stranger, so she was in foster homes from 1933 to 1942, she married James Dougherty, at age of 16. In 1946 she divorced James and she started to appear on the covers of magazines, as a model. Her first film was "Love Happy" . After this movie she appeared in 12 films until to 1952. In 1952, she acted in "Don't bother to Knock", It was her first film as a main character. In 1953 and 1954, she played the leading role in these films: "Niagara", "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes", "How to Marry a Millionaire" "River of No return”and "There's No Busssiness Like Show Business". In 1954 she married Joe DiMaggio, 9 months after they divorced. The next year, she acted in "The Seven Year Itch" It contains one of the most iconic images of the cinema history: Marilyn passed over ventilation grates in the street, and the air is expelled and raises her skirt. In 1956 she made the movie "Bus Stop". In 1957 she married Arthur Miller. In the next years she made very few films: “The Prince and the Showgirl”; “Some Like It Hot” (for this work she won a Golden Globe for best Actress); “Let’s Make Love” and “The Misfits”. In 1961 she divorced Arthur Miller. Marilyn died of an overdose of barbiturate on August 5, 1962.
At the moment Marilyn Monroe is considered a glamour and mode icon. Movies scenes: "Some Like It Hot", "Let's Make Love" and "Glentemen Prefer Blondes".
